Peacekeeping Forces and Non-Proliferation in Middle East
In the heart of the Middle East, the quest for peace is inseparable from the looming threat of nuclear proliferation and the legacy of ongoing conflict.
For decades, this region has been plagued by instability, with each ceasefire fragile and every negotiation holding immense weight. The danger of nuclear weapons falling into unstable hands grows as tensions rise. Over 13,000 nuclear warheads still exist, and a single misstep could shift the global balance of power.
Peacekeeping forces offer hope, but their role is continuously challenged by political complexities. Every moment of inaction increases the risk of global catastrophe. How can we deploy peacekeeping forces effectively, while ensuring nuclear non-proliferation and fostering diplomatic cooperation?
At DISEC, we face these pivotal questions. The decisions made now will shape global security for generations. The future of peace itself hangs in the balance.
